To understand how to play Fart Together, start with its shared raft: two to four players control hippos aboard one raft. Each person's input contributes to the movement of that shared raft, which makes coordination central to getting through the course. GamesMrkt describes a physics-based game in which force, direction and timing all matter. Steam game details Steam Demo

Use this guide to understand the core idea and agree on a plan with your group. The teamwork suggestions below are based on those published mechanics and are intended as a starting plan for your group.

Start with the right game

If you are learning how to play Fart Together, the free Steam Demo is the available starting point as of this guide's check date. It is developed and published by GamesMrkt. Other games also use the Fart Together name, so a mobile touch-control guide or a Roblox tutorial may describe a different product. Steam Demo

How to Play Fart Together: The Shared Raft

The official description identifies three parts of your group's movement:

PartWhat it means for your group
ForceEach player's contribution affects the raft's movement.
DirectionA movement in the wrong direction can disrupt the whole group's intended path.
TimingCorrect actions still need to happen at the appropriate moment.

The course includes situations that call for different speeds and coordinated responses. The developer describes narrow passages, sharp turns and moving obstacles, rather than a single “keep accelerating” objective. Steam game details Steam Demo

Controls: what is confirmed

The Steam listing includes a Keyboard Only Option and Full Controller Support. GamesMrkt's current-build description also names Xbox controllers and PlayStation DualSense controllers. Those are input-device claims; they do not establish an Xbox or PlayStation console release. Steam game details

The store information does not provide a complete keyboard or controller-button map. Follow the control information shown by your own build, and check that everyone understands their inputs before attempting a difficult section.

When learning how to play Fart Together, use instructions for the GamesMrkt Steam build when checking controls; mobile touch controls and Roblox bindings may belong to other games.

How to Play Fart Together: A First-Session Plan

This plan for how to play Fart Together is a suggested communication routine, not a set of hidden game mechanics.

1. Pick one person to call the next move

Let one teammate describe the immediate goal, such as lining up with a passage or preparing for a turn. Other players can still point out a hazard, but one caller makes it easier to avoid overlapping instructions.

2. Agree what your direction words mean

Before a difficult maneuver, check that “left” and “right” refer to the same thing for everyone. If those words become confusing, name a visible landmark or the intended exit instead. The aim is a shared instruction, rather than a longer conversation during the maneuver.

3. Use a short set of callouts

Try a few simple words such as “ready,” “go” and “adjust.” Agree on their meaning before using them. These are suggested words for your conversation, not names of in-game buttons or commands.

4. Change one part of your plan after a mistake

Ask whether the problem was the chosen direction, the timing or a conflicting instruction. On the next attempt, agree on one change. This gives your group a clearer comparison than having everyone improvise a completely different response.

5. Plan the next obstacle before committing

Decide where you want the raft to go and who will call the timing. The obstacle guide organizes that conversation around the types of hazard described by the developer.

Keep your expectations tied to the current build

GamesMrkt says Team Race is still in development and is not included in the current build described on its store page. Its plans for more courses, characters and modes are future development plans, rather than a list of features already available. Steam game details

The team also said on 17 October that it was updating the Demo in response to feedback. When checking a guide on how to play Fart Together, consider its publication date and the build shown in a video. GamesMrkt announcement
